Long Cove Club

Long Cove is a private residential community located in the south central part of Hilton Head Island. Founded in 1980 by three local businessmen it sold out in seven years, and consists of 573 full size residential home sites on 600 acres. Next to Wexford it partially borders on the marshes of Broad Creek and the deep water leading to the Intracoastal Waterway.

Built around the private Pete Dye designed Long Cove Club Golf Course, it consistently ranks among the top courses in South Carolina and the country. This upscale community caters to the needs of those desiring top-notch golf, tennis and boating combined with a relaxed, yet elegant life style in a beautiful country club setting.

Although synonymous with golf, it offers other recreational diversions as well. Tennis players have a choice of 10 clay courts, two of which are lighted at night. Swimmers love the Olympic-size pool, and boaters can dock in the 74 boat slips. Families enjoy a favorite lowcountry pastime of fishing and crabbing from the community dock. The grand clubhouse, at the end of an azalea and magnolia-lined drive, offers fine dining as well as rooms for cards and socializing.
