Wexford Plantation

A unique residential community Wexford Plantation offers security, recreation and friendship. The facilities include golf, boating, tennis & croquet, with automatic membership in these activities as well as the clubhouse. Many of Wexford's distinctive neighborhoods which range from stately harbor front homes to beautiful homes built along the edges of the lock-controlled deep-water harbour and charming canals that wind through Wexford's 500 very private acres.

Although Wexford is mid-island in every sense, it is literally on the water. Property owners can moor their boats to private docks on a 37.5-acre waterway that leads to Broad Creek and the Intracoastal Waterway. A unique lock system maintains a minimum depth of eight feet, which gives boat owners peace of mind. Vessels will be safe even when tides rise and fall nine feet, which they often do in this part of the South Carolina lowcountry. Boat slips can accommodate yachts up to 75 feet long and 19 feet across the beam. The harbor employs a full-time harbormaster with a staff of two

Only homeowners and their guests are permitted to use the golfing, tennis, yachting and pool facilities. Club membership, with no initiation fee, is an option for all property owners. Currently there are about 400 members. The golf course, designed by Willard Byrd and considered one of the best in the south, is equally private. It averages less than 50 rounds a day and is staffed by a head pro and three assistants.

For those who treasure their privacy, enjoy yachting, golf, tennis and the extensive facilities of a luxurious clubhouse, and who enjoy living in a friendly community with resort-caliber amenities, Wexford Plantation is one of kind.
